1) Jesus is Israel and became Israel at the end of the 40 days in the Wilderness in Luke 4

Deut. 8:2,3 - 40 days turned into 40 years

Luke 4 – Jesus became victorious in 40 days = Jesus is Israel = The man Jesus is now the Nation (Israel)

All of the promises are now in Christ , Yes - 2 Cor. 1:20

2) Why a 3^rd Temple? = Blasphemy

Christian Zionists put forth this idea

Romans 2:28 – Not a Jew outwardly 29 - Jew inwardly as circumcision of the heart

Romans 11:20 Tree = Israel (Jesus)

Branches = Individuals The branches that were cut-off were unbelieving Jews

Jn.1:47 True Israelite – Jesus defines the true Israelite – one who has no deceit/dishonesty

Romans 11:17 -18 The true Israelites are grafted into the tree (Jesus)

The wild olive shoots are grafted into the tree (Israel (Jews) – Jesus)

Romans 11:23 – If they do not reject (unbelieve) then re-grafted into the tree

Galatians 3:27-29 - Neither Jew nor Greek but rather

The New Covenant – Hebrews 8:8-10

v.8 – New Covenant with Israel and Judah

v.9 - they didn’t continue in the Covenant God made with Israel v.10 – The New Covenant made with Israel – the Law written on the heart

God has only had ONE People = those that obey out of love.

Modern Nation of Israel = Secular State

Jesus said that “your house I left unto desolate” – Mt. 23:38

The NEW Temple = We are the new temple

1 Cor. 3:16,17 – We are the Temple -“bought with a price”

1 Cor. 6:19,20 - We are the Temple - Our temple (body) is not our own . We should then glorify our God in our body ...which are God’s”

1 Peter 2:4,5 We are the “living stones built unto God’s Temple, unto a living Temple a holy priesthood…”
